Concerns for a child

Sometimes you might suspect that a child is at risk of harm or neglect. In other cases, you may know of a family who could benefit from some additional support and help to look after a child better. If you have concerns:-

  • Share them with a trusted source such as a Teacher or Police Officer.
  • Report a concern through First Response by calling 0300 1118007 and select option 1
  • Contact Staffordshire Police on 101 – for emergencies dial 999.

Staffordshire Safeguarding Children Partnership

Protecting the safety and wellbeing of children and young people in Staffordshire is a key priority for the Tamworth Better Together Partnership.

There is an independent body – The Staffordshire Safeguarding Children Partnership responsible for ensuring that individuals and organisations work effectively together to safeguard children.
